Testimonials
“I’ve never met anyone as enthusiastic about teaching kids math and she’s good at it too!”
Tara is more than a tutor, she’s a mentor, a true teacher… she’s someone who inspires and fuels kids’ confidence, curiosity, and their foundation for life-long learning. She is gift. When my daughter started working with Tara, she was shrinking in her public school classroom. Her confidence and love of math and science were disappearing. She was 8. After her first session, she was bouncing and excited again.
Tara creates a learning space for curiosity, questions, and mistakes. Trying new things and figuring things out are celebrated. Workbook pages and concepts that kids are rushed through at school are transformed with Tara. Kids learn with hands on activities, art, games, and real-life solutions. She builds kids’ self-esteem, and she helps close the gaps.
It’s incredible to watch as concepts are unlocked for my daughter. With Tara, she’s learning and applying the material, and she’s learning the strategies to take the tests. There’s less stress around homework, tests, and the curveballs of standardized tests.
When we cancel tutoring, Phoebe begs to go for her session, because learning with Tara is “the best”. “All kids should have a Tara to learn with because math games are fun,” Phoebe said.

“Tara has been awesome with my son. She’s helped him with math since 9th grade. He has a learning disability which makes learning math very challenging for him. Tara is naturally very patient and never seems to rush but so much learning is accomplished!”
