FAQs

What is your general approach to tutoring?

My general approach to tutoring involves friendly support, meeting learners where they are, and spotting and remediating gaps.

I value independence and understanding, lifelong skill and not just passing a test. (But I also teach system hacks and score boosting for test prep, of course.)

Are your services appropriate for learning differences? What about high-achievers?

I am well read and practiced with most learning differences, accommodations, SLD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, sensory sensitivities, and autism. I understand alternative educational philosophy, and am comfortable supporting homeschool/unschool students as well.

My high-achieving test prep students from this past year attended Princeton, Georgetown, Purdue, UF, FSU... This year the acceptances are rolling in for A-list grad schools, colleges, and one of my clients told me this morning that she is 8/8 on college acceptances, with massive scholarship offers!

I genuinely consider myself an expert at spotting knowledge/skill gaps. Even for the most advanced students.

Bonus: I usually have a backstock of practice books to borrow in between sessions.
